I always seem to talk alot about my baby...well it's probably cause she's my baby and she is still so new...
Well this post is dedicated to my favorite princesses. Kayli and Logan. The girls were born in January of 2005! They were a scheduled c-section, but my water broke 2 days before that! I was on bed rest for 7 weeks while pregnant with them(during Christmas no less :( )
They are my shining joy! I love those girls with everything that I am! Being a mommy to twin girls is a gift! Now granted I haven't always had those thoughts...they are almost 4...
Kayli is older by like 30 seconds...and you can tell. She is a mother hen! She takes care of Logan in every way possible. She even wipes her nose for her. Kayli always wants to hold Naomi, and change her diaper, and anything else she can do! She is my helper. If I need something she will get it for me. She aims to please....lol....Kayli is also a very, very strong willed child! Lately we have been doing nothing but butting heads with her. She wants what she wants when she wants it, and if she doesn't get it...look out!! I am at my wits end with her most days....and then there are those moments when she says something, or wants a kiss, or just says I'm the best mommy...that my heart swells!! I love my bug soooooo much!!!
Logan is a sweetie! If there is a hug to be had, or a kiss to give she will be the one doing it! If I am sad, she is sad with me! She has been though so much in her life. She has Spina Bifida, amongst a couple other things....she is a tough cookie! Logan is so full of compassion.. She surprises me so much everyday with her empathy! The other day I was trying to get her brace on her and it got stuck in her pants leg....well we were running late anyway for physical therapy, and I just couldn't get the brace unstuck from her pants....I was pulling, and pulling and getting so frustrated that I just started crying. I couldn't help it! Crying is how I show my emotions..well Logan cried too! She was hugging on me and saying "it's alright mommy" I felt awful for making her worry like that! I am so in love with my Logie Loo!
Having twins is crazy and beautiful! They are soo different! I might as well have kids that are different ages. There is 6-7 inches in height, and about 10 lbs weight difference in them! But they bring me such joy!
I just thought I would share some tidbits about them!! They are my life!!
Chicken Chilaquiles
This recipe we tried the other night and yummy!!!!
1 package flour tortillas, cut into 1-inch strips
1/2 cup veg. oil
2 cups diced/shredded cooked chicken
1 1/2 cups salsa
2 cups shredded moz, or monterey jack cheese
sour cream-if desired
Preheat Oven to 350. Heat oil in large skillet until hot. Cook tortilla strips in hot oil for 30-60 seconds, or until light golden brown: drain on paper towels. In a lightly greased 2 quart baking dish place 1/2 strips...top with cooked chicken, 3/4 cup salsa & 1 cup cheese. Repeat with remaining strips, salsa & cheese. Bake 30-35 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly around the edges. Serve with sour cream if desired. Makes approx. 6 servings
