Wow...Happy 2011! So I keep saying I am going to blog more but just haven't found the motivation to do so.....There has been so much happening in m family life that has been consuming me for the past 2 months!! I have alot of inner soul searching to do, I need to be happy again. I miss being happy...There is a song on a cd that I have by Britt Nicole that pretty much describes everything. Wow...it's been awhile since I've done this that I almost forget how:)

We recently went on vacation to the state of Washington! It was awesome and beautiful and I am so happy we went!! I got to visit with my sister and my nephews for a whole week. Kayli cried so much when we had to leave..she actually asked me to give her away to my sister so she could live with them....it totally broke my heart for a second. But then I realized that she just really loves her cousins and wants to see them more. I want to see them more too! My sister is one of my bestest friends! I miss her and them all so much!

Here is all the cousins together while seeing Mt. Saint Helen's! It was insanely gorgeous!! God was definitely showing off here!!

We also celebrated Easter in Washington too! Easter is a personal favorite for me. I love the feeling I get when I think about what Jesus did for me. I am happy to report that my girls know the reason we celebrate Easter too! We do not sit on the Easter bunny's lap...yes we do give baskets of candy...but I won't lie about where it came from. Not that I'm saying if you do these things I am better than you...just personal choices...it takes all kinds to make the world go round! I can't get the pic of us at Easter to come down here..so it's stuck up there:)

That's really all that's been going on here.....some up coming things are that Logan is going to have surgery on the 27th on her right leg. She is having a hamstring release done...she will spend 4-6 weeks in a cast...I am very hopeful at the outcome of the surgery, but we will wait and see!! Also the girls are playing tball. Lou will only be able to play up til her surgery but she loves it more than K does!! She is amazing...I don't know how she does it!! She has to balance herself on her walker while holding the bat and swinging at the ball! She even almost hit it when they pitched it to her!! That girl has a determined heart!! Hmm...whatelse..Oh...The National Spina Bifida Conference is coming to Cincy in June, and I am very excited about it!! Cory and I are volunteers for 2/3 days...

My shoe line is finally coming along. After months of waiting for samples to be made we had to switch factory's.... I will be getting an online store here soon! I am loving that I will be doing this from home!! It still allows me to raise my girls, and make life a little easier for parents/kids with braces to have cute, affordable shoes to wear! This is my goal! I just want something for Logan...I don't care if I make one cent....As long as Logan and kids like her can take their shoes on and off by themselves, and have shoes like other kids their age..then I will have succeeded! It's not to fun that Lou lou is 5 and can't put her shoes on or take them off by herself! And it's not her fault!!

On another note I think I will be writing a post about being a SAHM soon...I have so many feelings on this...and recently I have come across some full time working moms who say "that they could NEVER expect someone like me to understand someone working full time then coming home and doing all the duties a wife/mom has.." all I have to say is "please...get over yourself"!

Also some updated pics coming soon of Liam who is out of the NICU and home now!! He came home at 10 weeks and a whopping 5lbs!! (which is more than Kayli weighed when she came home) I am so happy he is home and doing marvelously BTW!!!!

Anywho....Cory and I are buying a house in the next week...so I am very excited about this!!

Yep! Starting in the fall we will have 2 Kindergarteners!!! I am so excited for them!! They are very excited and a little scared(well Bug is at least) I told them it will be alot like PreK. Wow, still can't believe my babies are 5! Too crazy!

I remember once when I was a little girl, my parents took us to the Ringling Bros. Circus! I remember it was something amazing. As a parent now of 3 little girls I am always excited to take them on new adventures. Well on March 10th(unbeknowenst to them) we are taking them to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Circus!! this is becoming my meaning of Life. This is how I hope to live my life.
I am learning to "be content"....that is a hard one for me. They say the grass is always greener...but I say "I am content". It doesn't mean that I am settling. Being content has more to do with loving the Lord with all your heart than, just being okay with your situation. I am loving life more these days than all of last year combined. I am happier this very minute than I can remember being in a long time. I have been ridding my body of toxic things...and filling it with more Holy things.
I am "content".

Wow..it has been a week already since my tiny miracle nephew was born. He came into this world when he shouldn't have. The doctors said he had a 30-40% chance of making it 48 hours. He.is.a.week.old. The power of God is amazing!

He is doing well. He is 1lb 14oz, regulating his own body temp, no vent, having bowel movements, among other things. On the not so good he is having regular apnea spells and has a heart murmur. They will do a head CT tomorrow to check out his brain. I love him so much already. When I touched his tiny hand for the first time I cried. My sister is so strong. She is pumping every 2 hours just so he can have what's best for him(and every other baby) breastmilk. I am so proud of her, she has been pumping like crazy when other women wouldn't have even tried. She is a true mama!! I can't wait to hold him.

I am trying my best to support her and visit with her, and do anything and everything that I can for her. We(my husband and I) know what it's like to be in this situation. Logie was in the NICU for 10 days after birth and then the PICU for a month when she was 3 months old. It was a VERY hard time for us and we found out the hard way about people supporting you. So I don't care if I smother her with my love, she will know that I am here for her for whatever she needs! I often joke that if I am your friend/family I will smother you with love! I don't think that's a bad thing!

So I guess I am praying for different things than other folks. I am praying for her mental/emotional strength cause she needs it to get through all of this. It is going to be a long road for them. Of course I pray everynight that God will wrap his loving protecting arms around Liam and make him stronger everyday!! His name means Warrior and that's just what he is!! Feel free to add them to your prayers!! I will post some pics of Liam on here so you can see just how adorable he is too!!!!!! Thanks for letting me ramble!! Of course who am I thanking? This is my blog and I can ramble if I want!!

My husband and I are huge fans of Jaci Velasquez, and we were listening to her CD "Unspoken" today in the car and this song came on. First of all, I love every song on this CD, if you haven't heard it, it's awesome!! I just thought I would share the lyrics to this song "Where I Belong" cause it's so true to my life!!! And I love it! I am a fan of Worshiping God through music, so songs and their lyrics have such an impact on me. Let's just say that today in the car I didn't have dry eyes:) Conviction is a hard thing, but such a wonderful thing. The cake that takes all cakes!

So my hubby's birthday fell on Thanksgiving this year. It was his big 3-0! I can't believe we are 30, well not me yet, but soon...too soon....

I wanted to do something very special for him since we is such a wonderful husband and the best father I have ever seen(on earth that is:) Cory loves, and I mean LOVES Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies...So I decided to try and make him a huge Oatmeal Cream Pie cake! I scoured the internet for a recipe, found one and decided to make a go at it....

Well my hard work really paid off cause my hubby loved it! And the best part was the taste!! It was AWESOME! I have to say that I rocked that pie, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!!

I had another surprise too for Cory. I surprised him with a "guys day" of skiing/snowboarding! I mean really what guy really wants a party? He loves snowboarding and doesn't get to do it often so I thought this was an awesome idea. I invited a lot of guys in Cory's life and I hope they can all come out to celebrate in January!! I love ya hun!!

I am just complaining....

sometimes life is hard....real hard, and I have had a tough night! Nothing big, just that my hubby is out of town and sometimes being a special needs mom is HARD!!! I try not to complain very much about this life that was handed to me by God, after all it is Logan that really lives in that life. But it affects us, her family, because we too live in this life.

There is so many things to do every single day that other families don't have to do and I won't lie, I wish we were like other families sometimes....But this life is a journey. And Logan will make a difference in this world, she is already doing it. I am so honored that God entrusted us with his special child. I love all 3 of my girls so much. I hope one day they know that I am doing the best that I can, the only way I know how. I hope they know just how much I love them....

Halloween Part 2!

So on Saturday we got invited to my hubby's boss' house to hang out. His boss is also his friend, so it was a no pressure type of situation. Just hanging out with him and his wife Monica who I just adore. They live about 45 minutes from us, and the girls were excited about helping pass out candy there. Earlier in the day the girls talked about switching costumes, which I thought was a fun idea, and glad they came up with it on their own! So Lo was Sleeping Beauty, and Bug wanted to use her Mulan dress up and go as that! They had fun switching!!

So we got there and decided to take the girls TorT down 1 street. They walked through a little blowup haunted house, and had a ball looking at all the costumes. The folks in this town really did it up! Each house in the subdivision had a fire pit and food. It is great to see neighbors being so neighborly!!

When we came back the girls helped pass out candy which was a good experience for them. It's nice to teach our children that while it's great fun to "get" candy, it's also great fun to "give" it as well!! They loved it!!! We hung out at the fire pit and talked til 2 of our girls were snoring! It was a really nice evening spent with friends!!

Halloween 2009 part 1...

This year Halloween was a bit different for us! We were in a town where the girls had never gone TorT*(trick or treating) before. My girls started talking about what they wanted to be a while ago. Bug wanted to be either Bat Girl or SuperGirl, and Lo followed suit and said she wanted to be SpiderGirl! I was excited cause my thinking was "hey, these might be easy to put together"! See I see all these blogs talking about money saving tips, and I have one to share....Don't spend money on Halloween costumes!!! It's 1 day, and we don't even "celebrate it"...it's just a fun night to dress up and get candy. We even have a little rule that the girls can't be anything "demonish" meaning, the devil, a witch, or something like that. Other than that I let them decide on what they want and I try and put it together. Last year was difficult for me being that Lo wanted to be toodee from Yo Gabba Gabba, but I think I did okay! Well the closer it came, the more their minds changed this year. Finally I said okay, that's it...decide NOW...and Lo said Cinderella, and so then Bug chose Sleeping Beauty. If you know my kids they love princess's. They play dress up all the time and are a little obsessed....So I didn't care, and was glad cause we already had the costumes!! (Um hello....FREE) Plus they are 4, if they want to be something that they play all the time, it doesn't bother me. So for their costume's I bought them some cheap wigs that were really cute!! I also found a 5.00 snow white costume for baby girl so that was AWESOME!! This is Lo doing her Cinderella smile! Bug LOVED her Wig!

We took a wagon cause we live in a small town and it was easier for Lo not to get too tired using her walker. Baby girl pretty much walked the whole hour and a half of TorT*!! She is a trooper! And she loved it! She wanted to carry her little pumpin bucket the whole time!!

This little princess was simply adorable!! The cutest!!

I think the highlight of the evening was when we went to the school for trunk or treat! The girls enjoyed a hot dog, and always love "going to their school" They got plenty of candy that we are all enjoying!! Oh, and another thing, it was like summer in Ohio on Friday night, and winter on Saturday!

Scripture Sunday

I haven't done a scripture Sunday for a while, but I thought I would try to bring it back(we'll see how long this lasts..lol) Since it is Sunday I wanted to focus on God....he is the creator, the prince of peace, my savior, my EVERYTHING! Here is an excellent couple of verses that really define a Christian....I hope they mean something to you too!!

1 Corinthians 1:18-31

18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."
20Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Because I finally found my camera cord...

Yep, just like my title I finally found my lost camera cord so I uploaded a ton of pics off my camera! Tonight is my little towns' trick or treat night, and tomorrow we are going to another town to hang out with friends and go trick or treating there also!! So I will be posting some costume pics in a couple of days!! My girls are very excited to wear theirs!! I always let them choose and they have changed their minds a million times!! The finally decided to be Cinderella, Sleeping beauty, and Omi is Snow White! Which is awesome because I REFUSE to pay money for costumes!! I mean seriously it's 1 night, and to me it's ridiculous!!! When at the store I see them selling costumes for 29.95, I about flip!!! I am proud to say that total for all 3 of my girls stuff it was 15.00...The girls already had the dress up clothes so that was AWESOME!!! Pics to come of my beauties....

11:20-Sign in at Neurosurgeon's office for follow up
12:20-Starting to get hungry, and my fever is back
1:00-Kids getting stir crazy
1:20-Get a beeper(like at a restaurant) so we can finally go get lunch!
1:45-Got our tray with our food, sat down, opened my diet cherry coke(that I was drooling over), and our buzzer lit up:(
1:55-I took 2 of our kids, Omi stayed with daddy so she could eat, upstairs to the office where we waited
2:00-why did they beep us? We are still waiting...
2:10-finally back in the room!
2:30-still waiting to see the Doc!!
2:31- Dr.K comes and says all is great! See ya in a couple months!
2:32-We head back down to FINALLY eat lunch!!
3:00-left for home
5:00 after a couple of stops..i.e Target...we stop to eat(we are TOTAL drive thru folks!!!)
7:30-home!!! Give kids meds(Logan is running a temp AGAIN!!) Give me meds, jammies, skype with my sis
8:45-kiddies in bed! Time to sit and rest, otherwise I am not getting over this flu thing!! It STINKS!!

Weddings and Marriage....

*Disclaimer...this post is not me bragging...Just some random thoughts brought up recently....
A pic from that "other" wedding..

We recently were invited to attend a wedding that will take place near my husband's hometown. It is this coming weekend. I can freely admit that I love weddings! I love watching 2 people in love sharing their special union with the ones they love. I love the food, the dancing, the cake!! Now I don't know the people getting married that well. I know the groom cause my hubby used to work with him, and he is the brother of a gal/couple that we are friends with. But recently we went to another wedding....Neither one of us wanted to go to it,(it was far away, and it came at a time when there were other things we wanted to do)....but we did cause Cory was an Usher...that was in August...well now we are hearing that they are already getting divorced because she cheated on him....it's just sad. I don't think people take marriage seriously anymore. I don't know about you, but when I made my vows before God and my husband, I promised both of them that I was in it for life! Obviously I believe that there are reasons for divorce. Like abuse...physical, mental, emotional, unfaithfulness(even though some strong folks can work through this if they really work hard.

I honestly believe that my husband and I have the best marriage out of all the married people I know. It is hard work everyday! But anyone can have that..if they WORK at it. My husband would give up anything to be with his family. But I also know that he needs time to be a guy, and hang with other men. I do not want to be the wife that keeps their husband locked up with her ALL the time! I do admit that I have been that person in the past, but am working to NOT be that wife anymore!! Also us wives have to know that our husbands, not us, are the leaders in our homes. We need to trust THEIR judgement when it comes to knowing what is good for the family. I have always said that I would move anywhere with Cory, if he truly thought that it was best for us.(In fact we have moved 5 times in our 7 years of marriage)! I didn't want to move a couple of those times, but it ended up best for us! It says in the Bible "But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ. " 1 Cor 11:3.

I am the mushy wife who calls her hubby lots everyday! I just want him to know that I love him. And believe me, I know how lucky I am. We have been through so much together, and I often say that Cory "saved me" when we met. I could go on and on about this, but I think we need to listen to our husbands needs more often as wives. I am trying to think of new ways everyday to be a "submissive wife", and give more to my husband. We are doing a Bible study together, and Financial Peace University. Those 2 things alone give us more time together learning more about what God wants for us, and about the Godly relationship we need to strive to have. I also love the Internet..if you really know me, you already know that, but I recently heard from a friend that some people are online for like 8 hours a day!! Can you imagine? When I heard that I instantly cut back on my online time. Yes I do work online for my business Blue Bug Shoes, but now I have more time for my husband and children. I am feeling quite guilty doing this post right now cause I am not using this time for my children.(But in my defense I do have the flu..lol)

Tough Love....

It has been tough love here at our house. Little Naomi is 16 months now(whew it's going by quick) and she is into EVERYTHING!!!!! She still is such a sweety, just a little ornry too! Lately it has been 1 thing....the dirt in the plant. She loves taking handfuls of dirt from this huge plant that my mom just brought inside since it's getting cooler. I send her to the corner, and she comes back and does it again! Now some of you may say "well move the plant!" Well I am just not that mama! I don't take obsticles out of my children's way...they need to learn to not touch certain things!! But this little girl is stubborn just like her big sis Bug! I know she will get it, I just hope it's sooner rather than later(or I might be buying a bag of potting soil...)

I am trying my best to raise my daughters to be most importantly, Godly women, and in turn when that happens then I have no worries! I do not worry about being a "good mommy", my kids do not get everything they want, nor do we take them lots of places...I think that by letting them just play and be creative and get to be "kids" everything will work out well. We have had a lot of issues with Bug. She doesn't want to go to church(even though she loves it) but I take her in there kicking and screaming(literally). It is very hard for me, but I can't let her think that she runs the show.

Last week was our county fair(which I look forward to all year...mmm...all that yummy food...)

This year Naomi was old enough to actually care about the animals, and the rides(last year she was 3 months...) She loved the rides!! She screamed when she had to get off of them, and screamed when she saw them(cause she wanted ON them)...She is also our first child to NOT be afraid of the animals!! She did really well! She especially loved this little wooden piggy..she would just touch it and giggle...it was too too cute!!

A Walk to Remember...

Oh, I love that movie...I mean come on if you are a chic and you haven't seen that "flick" then you should be ashamed...Go rent it!! I love it!..But this isn't about the movie, or Mandy Moore...
It's about the walk that we(my family) participated in last weekend...ok, well maybe it was the 26th, not LAST weekend so anyway.. We participated in the 9th Annual Spina Bifida Walk and Roll! It is a way that we raise money for our local SB chapter. We have started to get involved in the young families support group and it is so nice getting to know families who actually understand the things our children are going through and us as parents as well. If you don't know, my daughter Lo was born with Myelomeningocele, the severest form of SB(there are 3 types) So it is very important to us to help other families dealing with this life, and also get help ourselves. Anywho...SO this is our big fundraiser and all the money goes to our local chapter and supports our kids. It helps fund camps and many other things!!

I had a goal to raise 1k for our 1st year participating, and I almost did it! I think we raised 980.00! I was very pleased!! It was actually amazing to see the generosity of so many folks! My hubby's work really came through with a lot of the money! It's funny while you are doing one of these things, I find that people with no money to give, are the ones doing the giving...kind of says something about people and our humanity!

They day was a little drizzly and humid! Logan did awesome!! She probably walked about a mile in her walker. It was so cute too, when she got tired she would sit on the back of her walker and Bug would push her...

Afterwards there was a little carnival that the girls enjoyed, and some cotton candy as well!! We were all pooped after it was all said and done. But we raised a total of 80k!!! That's 10k more than last year!!! I think that I will not be doing the March of Dimes walk anymore, and just start focusing on this one!!! So thanks to all our supporters!! We love you all and appreciate your love, kindness, and support!!

There are so many things for us to be involved in....do you donate(you know give of yourself, and not EXPECT anything in return) your time? If so, I would love to hear about it!! Maybe we can raise awareness for different causes! I know that not too many people are familiar with SB, even though it is the #1 birth defect!!!

20 blue genie's......

So I was trying to be humble about winning some tickets to Disney on Ice from one of my new favorite gal pals Cortney...(only a virtual friend right now, but will be an IRL friend soon!!!!) But she asked if I was going to post about it, so I said that I would. So Cortney this post is just for you!!! By the way, if anyone wants to check out Cortney's blog, you totally should! I love reading her posts!!!(if only...oh if only she didn't like that team up north...sigh...:):):)

So anyway, I entered a giveaway to win 4 tickets to Disney On Ice 100 years of Magic, and I won! We didn't tell the girls at all!! When we did tell them we were walking into the arena...and they were getting kind of suspicious when they kept seeing kids will dress up outfits on!! I honestly didn't dress my kids up, I did however let them wear their Mickey Mouse ears from Disney World..(really, where else are you going to wear those?)

We had really good seats..they were on the side down pretty close to the ice!

Lo was a little apprehensive because the last time we went to Disney on Ice(Princess's on Ice) She became deathly afraid of the blue genie..he was big and not a person, but a big thing that has smoke and fireworks......so when they first act came out and it was Aladdin my hubby and I looked at each other and laughed! And it was a surprise when the genie came out he was a person not a machine! She was still scared...then much to our disbelief when we looked next we saw this....

Totally Hilarious!! And Lo FINALLY looked and she laughed and thought that it was crazy!! The rest of the show was really good too! I loved the Finding Nemo costumes!!

Of course my girls loved seeing Mulan, and Pocahontas, as well as the obvious obsession with Cinderella!! Omi sat the whole time!! Even through intermission!! She loved it almost as much as they did and she is only 1! I got tears in my eyes towards the end...there is just something about watching my beautiful children really enjoy something....so many times during the show my hot hubby and I exchanged "the look"..you know the one...the one that just in a look says how much you love them and how much you love your life and how extremely blessed you are....it doesn't matter how much money we have(yeah..we have none!), we are just happy right now in our lives. We don't need material things, or wealth....we have God, each other, and our children...Thanks Cortney!!!!

Ok, so honestly, my life hasn't been that exciting lately! I feel like I have nothing fun to blog about!! And I'm not going to blog about the smallest silliest things just to blog...

Not much going on....the girls are going to PreK...again...so it's not that exciting for me..I feel so insensitive for not crying, but ya know....they have already done this. Next year will be the big K, I will probably bawl then!! Baby Girl had her 15 month check up and shots today...she weighs in at 24lbs and 12 ozs!! And she is 31 1/8 inches long!! Such a big girl! She does so many things that she shouldn't at her age! Her Aunt took her to build a bear for a special gift recently....She loves animals!!! Especially dogs...so this is Buckeye......

......and the girls have been trying some new foods lately!! Seriously Bug eats like a 10 year old boy!! She is a bottomless pit! And she is such a good eater! I couldn't ask for more!! Lo has improved on her eating too! She is trying more things and gagging less!!!

And my hubs and I went to watch this...

for the first time! We had a ball!! We even won a little(40 cents:))!!

So see...my life has been soooo boring that I have resorted in posting pics of my kids eating!!!

In recents posts I have blogged about how I don't know who I am anymore, with a husband, 3 MSC, and a new business I'm starting up I am just busy! I don't(didn't) give myself any "me" time...I guess I thought I didn't deserve it....Now I know(or at least I believe) that I was going through post pardom depresion. I can tell ya one thing, it ain't purdy!! I am slowly trying to get over that...I haven't seen a doctor, just trying to pray and have faith in God that he will pull me though....

So I decided that I neded to do something about my "me" time! I must put in this disclaimer first...I am not a runner!! I never have been. Even though when I was younger I played soccer, softball, and ran cross country.....But as I got older and in High School I was a cheerleader, and didn't exercise much! Granted I weighed barely a 100lbs and had great metabolism!!(HA! That slowed when I went to college, and worse after having 3 kids!) So I had heard of this program on twitter called couch potatoe to 5k. I thought, that's me!!! I checked it out and it seemed very easy..HA! I could barely run for 90 sec. straight!! Well for some reason for the first time in my life I have actually stuck with a workout program.I am on week 6!!! Last night I ran for 2 1/4 miles without stopping! I would never have guessed that my body would do that....and here's the kicker........I actually enjoy it!! I look forward to my runs now, and am happy that I am doing something for "me" .

It is also nice that I have a great support system in my husband. He is training for his first full marathon!! He is up to running 15 miles this week!! He has run two Half marathons before and really wants to accomplish a full one!! I am so proud of him!!

What do you do for YOURself??? Anything I should try?

A couple of nights ago I was cathing little Lo(we cath her every 4 hours..) and we were talking like we usually do...she is a major talker!!

And then she asked it~ the one question I have been dreading all her 4.5 years.

"Mommy, um..why do I have Spina Bifida?" My heart sank, and I almost welled up in tears..but I didn't cause I know if I do then she will see that I am sad that she has it too. And I need her to love herself for who she is, not WHAT she is.

Me: Well honey, because God made you that way...

Lo: Well, why doesn't Bug have Spina Bifida?

Me: cause God made her the way she is too...... from this point on it got a little worse..and honestly I was barely holding it together....

Lo: I want to be like Bug....I don't want to have SB....

Me: Honey,(whispers..) me either..(she didn't hear that) God made you extra special, and I love YOU the way you are. It's good to be different!! But if you want to you can pray to God, to tell him how you feel...

Lo: Ok mama, "God, please make me like Bug"..........in Jesus' name..Amen...

Lo: Mama? Me: yes baby...

Lo: Do you think God will make me like Bug while I'm sitting here in your arms????

Me: I'm not sure honey... Lo: Stretching out her legs....do I still have Spina Bifida? Me: sadly....yes sweety...I love you Logan!

This has been heart breaking for me....I know it's going to get worse as she gets older, but man oh man..it's tearing me up inside......

I hope I will be more prepared the next time something like this comes up....or at least ask daddy the next questions!!

Naomi's 1st Birthday Celebration a little late...

My baby girls' first birthday was on the 9th of June. We had her party on the 7th, so I'm a little late in posting about her party! It was a fabulous party except for one thing, poor baby girl was sick :O( She had a double ear infection and was not her usual smiling self. (she actually has another double ear infection again right now, but thankfully gets tubes on the 29th!)

We really didn't have a party theme..I went with colors mainly...It was a cupcake theme, with dogs and elmo added in! Her favorite things! My mom and my lil sis made her spectacular cake!!

She received lots of great goodies, which she plays with on a regular basis!

She really disappointed us when she didn't get messy eating her cupcake! But she just kept it up to her mouth and gnawed at it! She truly didn't feel well at all, and it shows in this picture! She did have fun playing with all her gifts and wrapping paper later though!! It was a memorable day!!

This was my birthday cake last year...I loved it cause my little Lo wanted to put a horse on it...so my hubby found a zebra and if you look closely you can see it pooped on my cake! (wink) yes...of course they are rasins! And this bottom pic is how I spent my birthday last year! I was released from the hospital that day after having my baby girl on the 9th! The nice people at the hospital even had a cake for me!! It was a great birthday gift to bring my sweet baby girl home!

it's been a while...

Ok, by the lack of posts I have done lately, I think that shows I have been a little busy! My sister is on her way to her new home in the state of Washington!(moving from Ohio) They spent last weekend here before they made their trek there! They are currently in South Dakota, they wil be stopping to see Mout Rushmore today! I am very close with my sister, she is my best friend and I am going to miss seeing her and my nephews!!! My girls love their cousins soo much, and I still cannot believe they are gone! We are getting a webcam so we can talk and see each other. Plus Em has to see my baby girl so she will always know who she is when she see's her!

Last Saturday we had a going away party with my moms side of the family. It was a great night for a cookout, except for the tornado's that hit close by of course :) This is Bug and Lo riding in the buggy with my cousins wife Diane! They all had a blast!

And here are what we like to call the triplets! Lo,Caden(my nephew) and Bug holding Na Na. They get into soooo much trouble together i.e cutting Lo's hair painting each other with red nail polish, I could go on with this list!! They fight like they are siblings!

This is my cute nephew Ethan! He is sooo funny, and he is Kayli's favorite(in her words, becuase Caden bites her) My hubby wants to send him the the Buckeye footbal camp next summer!

On another hand I cannot wait to fly to Washington and visit! I haven't been past Colorado and really would like to visit! But with the prices of flights and having to fly a family of four(baby girl is still free) I don't see it happening too soon!! Oh well, a girl can dream right??

This was our trip to the Cincy zoo last Monday! It was a perfect day! They fed giraffe's and pet a penguin! I miss them already!!

Relationships....

Sunday's church service was awesome! I love this series we are going through. It's all about relationships.....

Relationships are or should be one of the biggest parts of our lives. But we don't treat them as we should. We destroy them as quickly as they were formed. Some of my realtionships are a no brainer..and then others I look at and think "why in the world am I friends with them". But we NEED relationships!! If you don't have someone who can help keep you accountable for your actions(besides your spouse) then maybe you need to go friend shopping!! I think we all need a couple other people in our lives who we can just vent too, or call up for an opinion, or someone who will just go shopping with us!!

There are 4 main points that I learned about yesterday involving relationships...

1. Be Responsible

2. Be understanding-Forgive!!

3. Be practical-confront people(using the bible as a guide on how to do this properly!)

4. Be different-LOVE!!!

I know that I have a couple relationships in my life that I am really struggling with! I really want to keep them, but I'm not sure how....I guess I need to follow the 4 things!!

Ok, so I am just totally frustrated and stressed out right now!! I have been trying to set up Physical Therapy for Lo for about a month now....It's such an annoying process...you need a prescription, and other things then THEY will call you!! Well if I have learned anything from Lo's 4 years of constant appointments, THEY will never call! I have had to stay on them constantly!! And the annoying thing is is that they(Children's Hospital) say that they haven't received the prescription yet......but yet the person faxing the (here on out called script cause typing prescription is taking too long):) script, has gotten 3 confirmations saying they have received it!!!!!!!!! Don't they realize that my daughter NEEDS this service???? We aren't doing PT for some extra exercise.. Lo NEEDS it! I feel like she is falling behind more and more everyday,and I don't want her to get weaker!!! One good thing is that next week she should get her new brace! She currently wears an AFO on one leg and a KAFO on the other....well now she will have 2 KAFO's which will really help stabilize her knee, so hopefully we will see some improvement in her walking! I am really hopeful, and I think that she might be able to walk without her walker when she gets the new brace!!! Sorry I think I just needed to vent a little...Her are some cute pics of Lo-to offset the venting!!

Who am I?

Tonight while I was push mowing the grass, I actually had some silence in my mind to think! I cannot believe all that came into my mind! I really started thinking about who I am...

Case in point this picture...when I look at it, I think they- are my babies, and I am their mama! But I am also someone that I forget about...Kristan.....not mom, or honey,babe,mom mom...or anything else I get called regularly...

I think as parents(especially moms) we don't make enough time for ourselves...we often feel guilty having a little "me" time. We should be making dinner, doing the laundry, cleaning the house, satisfying my husband..reading books to my kids, and helping them learn their ABC's...you get my drift don't ya?? I very rarely take anytime for myself. In fact most of the time I criticize other moms for dumping their kids off the first chance they get to hang out with their "girls", or their hubby, or just going to the store alone! I never used to need time alone! I am always perfectly happy being with my hubby, but these days a girl just needs a quiet moment to gather her thoughts!

Sometimes I get so frustrated because I feel like I've lost a part of myself. I went to college, I used to read, I love to ride Horses, I like to fish, jeez, I even like to push mow!! Growing up I loved sports. I played softball, soccer,ran cross country, track, and was a cheerleader. I love to sing, and have had a guitar for over a year and have yet to take time for myself to learn how to play it!!!!! But since having my babies I have lost some parts of myself!! I would love to get them back except for the single fact that I have changed. I still love to do all those things, but I love my family more than my "me" time. We all go to the grocery store together! Why, you might ask? Because that's part of our "family" time together!! We don't get a lot of time to spend all together, so I don't waste 1 second of it! Also I think it's a teachable time for my kids, about how to learn and behave in public! Yes it definitely can be stressful at times, but it can also be FUN!! Anyway, I'm getting off my subject here...

I am still learning how to be a wife/mom/sister/daughter/and whoever else, and still be ME! I guess I'm not good at balancing...I would love to start doing the kinds of things I love again, so my children see that part of me! I love my girls, and I want them to never feel lost as I have myself here lately!!

How do you stay "yourself" and not get lost being a mom/wife/???? I would love some tips!

My little baby is growing so fast! She is 9 months already!!(Well she was on the 9th of March, I'm just a little behind in posting this)

She does soooo many things already:

She says mama, dada, dog, and I think her version of Bug's name!

She can now wave,crawl,play, pull to stand,and many other cute things

She has 4 teeth, and is currently getting another top one...thanks goodness I'm only nursing her for 3 more months! She has bit me several time, and sometimes uses her teeth when she latches on...ouch!!

She is still my ray of sunshine!! She is always so pleasant, and doesn't cry when going into the nursery, or when I want to run to the store for an hour!! She madly loves her big sisters, and think they were put here to entertain her!! She loves our dogs, and laughs at them all the time!! She is all over ticklish! She is my sweet baby girl!!

Ok, so life is going pretty well right now.....We are moving all of our stuff this weekend(not too excited about all that work) BUt it has to get done. We have been living with my mom for a couple of weeks now, and everythings going great! I am really going to like living here! I love the church we are going to, and we are getting really involved in it. We joined a small group, and Cory might be joining the mens softball team. I hope he does cause he is a great player and he loves it! I would love to join the women's team, but with a nursing baby I' not to sure about that!! We have been visiting with our good friends who live near here. He is the Childrens Minister at the church we are attending. It has been great! We are going to be getting together every Tuesday and just hanging out. I am also enjoying being near my family. I haven't lived by them in 10 years!! I'm sure it's nice for my mom to be near her grandbabies too!!

I am starting my very own Children's Shoe line also! We have been working with a big designer, and it's almost time to get the sample made!! Sometimes I still cannot believe that this is happening. I feel like God has led us to this! I have such a passion for it and my daughter who is my muse!! After getting samples made it will be time to market them! I hope it all goes well. I still have so much to do with setting up the business....opening my online boutique, getting organized with receipts, invoices, boxes, etc....There is so much to do!! But I will be working from home and doing something good! What a feeling I have!!! I will have to learn how to balance work and family, because they are still my 1st priority! I need to spend more time with the hubby too!! Too many people focus all their attention on their kids, and give nothing to their spouse! I am guilty of doing this at times, and it's just not good for our marriage. I have always felt that Cory and I have something very special, and I don't want that to go away....So that is my current prayer for myself!

Still so much to be done...and here I am blogging....a girl has to have her hobbies too right?? At least it's a free hobby..unlike something say........HUNTING!!! Oh, and I cannot wait for warmer weather so we can go fishing!! I love fishing and can't wait for my dad to take my girls(they got poles for their birthday, which they wanted!!)

Wow, it's been over a week since I have blogged! It doesn't feel good :( But I have been so consumed with the things around me lately...

(she missed her sis)

Last Friday Logan went in for a simple tonsil and adenoid removal, she was to stay just 1 night because of her medical history......

(yes, she ate pizza 2 days after)

We were finally released on Tuesday morning(5 days later)

(she loved her princess balloons)

Lo could not get off the oxygen....she would dip way down when she was sleeping(sometimes way down in the 70's) She has something called Arnold Chiari Malformation II and her pulmonary doctors are thinking that thi is why the swelling wasn't going down, making it harder for her to come off the O2....also they did a chest x-ray and think that she is aspirating liquids(they are going into her lungs) so we are thickening her liquids right now until she has a swallow study on the 20th! Let me tell ya, that's a huge pain in the rear, but worth it to keep her safe!!

So we were released Tuesday morning after a night without needing O2, we drove south 20 minutes to pick up Bug then drove an hour back up to our house, through some tubs of clothes into our vehicles and drove 2.5 hours south to my moms house where we will be living for the next couple of months untill we find a house.....crazy day....Our big move is this upcoming weekend!! I will be glad to have it done!

First off.....Lo gets her tonsils/adenoids out tomorrow mornin', so please say a quick prayer for her and us...she will be staying overnight cause she has had 5 other surgeries so they want to keep an eye on her...

Ok...This pic was taken in Feb./Mar. of 2006...it's of Bug, and she just looks so cute!!

And this leads to something she said this week....

I went to a wedding this past Saturday and I put fake nails on..I can't grow the things and I think everyone looks prettier with their nails done so...anywho...Bug really liked them, she said they looked so pretty and so on, well they started to fall off, and I put a couple of them on the lamp stand.....she found one and just stared at it to figure out what it was.....she finally put it on her nail and said

" Ah Ha! She was pretending" Too funny!!!!

Well it's Tuesday....I guess I'll do a pic and a recipe....no pics of my kiddies today...

This is a pic of my first child...lol... This is my puppers Jackson (or when he's in trouble it's Jackson Andrew..) Someone kicked him out of there car by where Cory used to work, about 9 years ago....He knows I am a dog lover so he brought him to my apartment...Jackson is my baby, although since having kids, he's kind of been on the back burner.....he is about 11 years old, but I think he still looks like a puppy sometimes. He is a mutt, but I think he's either a springer spaniel, or a brittany spaniel mix...not quite sure...

The other night I fixed something really yummy and just thought I would share it with ya!

Taco Soup
1 lb ground turkey
1 onion diced
1 package taco seasoning(low sodium)
1 package dry ranch dressing mix
1 can black beans
1 can fat free refried beans
1 can kidney beans
1 28 oz can of tomatoes
1 can of mexi corn(or fiesta corn)
1 can of tomatoes with chilies

brown turkey with onion, don't drain, add taco seasoning and ranch mix and cook together for a minute

start opening cans and start dumping them in...don't drain them...simmer together for an hour....

I topped this soup with baked tortilla chips(crushed) on top, cheddar cheese, fat free sour cream, and some fresh cilantro(which I am totally addicted to) It was yummy!!!!!

This is also a great recipe because I had everything but the cilantro and chips already here!!

Weekend recap!

This weekend was the girls' 4th birthday party! Loads of fun was had, cake was eaten, presents were unwrapped! I was very tired after continuous cleaning, and stressing...But now it's over and it's back to packing for our move which is coming up.... Cory starts his job on the 17th, but we are not moving till the beginning of March...Lo has her tonsillectomy on the 20th, so I don't want to be going back and forth!!

I made their My Little Pony cakes....they didn't turn out like I would have liked, but the girls loved them and that is the main point!

These are some adorable aprons that their GiGi(great grandma) made for them. They love to cook and pretend to cook, so these are perfect for my little chefs in training...and the fact that my mamaw made them is something we will cherish forever! They had a really wonderful day but now we have to pack up their new things and they are sad...They each got a Big Wheels, and I won't even open the box(we do have a foot of snow), an they will be easier to move in the box! But they will soon get to play with everything again!

Happy 4th Birthday my sweet babes....

Today is Bug and Logo's 4th birthday!! They are growing up sooooo fast! I cannot believe they are 4! Three to me is still kind of babyish, now they are 4 and it's like the are big girls now :(

Bug was so small...when we left the hospital she weighed 4'13 I love this pic of her!

This is by far one of my faves of Logo....she was just looking at me with those big doe eyes right from birth! I was amazed!!

I don't really like to think about when the girls were born....it was such a crazy day, I only got to see Logo for 5 minutes, they took her to Children's right after she was born. We knew when I was 17 weeks pregnant that she had Spina Bifida. Cory and I were separated after they were born. He went with Logo, and I stayed in the hospital with Bug....The first time I got to see and hold Logo was 2 days after her birth! Needless to say I bawled. She had already had a major surgery and I couldn't be there for her!! It was not a good experience! But now they are 4, and that is just a memory...

This was the girls' 2nd birthday! We took them to their first movie(we saw Open Season) They loved it!!

Bug had attitude all day! I think she was just overwhelmed!

Lo was happy all day! She is just amazing!

They had a Backyardigan birthday party!

I will not pay 40.00 for a cake anymore! This cake was expensive and it wasn't even good! I now make their cakes..(from a mix..(grin)) They are way better and cheaper too!!

Little Lo got new braces!! The old braces didn't match and she was growing out of them. She has an AFO(ankle foot orthotic) on 1 leg and a KAFO(knee....) on the other! She is excited cause they are both blue w/ butterflies and blue is her favorite obsession, I mean color!! So here she is showing them off!

Here is a great, yummy, healthy recipe for you to try!!

Mediterranean Chicken w/Couscous!

3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

bunch of green onions

red bell pepper

garlic powder

red wine vinegar

box of couscous

Ok, so I don't cook this using measurements, so bear with me....

!st, boil the chicken in water till cooked...

While that is cooking, dice green onions, and pepper and put in a microwaveable bowl. Put a couple shakes of garlic powder and red wine vinegar on top. Cover with plastic wrap and micro for about 4 minutes or until soft. Set box of couscous up to cook as directed on box, I like to buy the Parmesan kind:) When chicken is done and diced and couscous is done put them in bowl with cooked veggies....mix them all together and shake on some more red wine vinegar...micro for another couple minutes and enjoy. We like to make some steamed broccoli to eat with it, and I end up mixing it all up!! It's very good!!!

This pic was taken at our friends' parents house. They had come in for a visit from North Carolina, so we went to see them. They had a new baby in July! There are 4 different families that are friends and these are our kids...actually at the time of this pic 2 kids are missing(but they were both newborns...From L-R Grace(my girls' best friend) Bug, Cole, and Lo..

We all had kids at the same time..Grace was born 1st, 2 weeks later came Cole, then 2 weeks later came my two! Cole's brother, and Grace's brother are also 1 month apart...(I didn't take part in that one(grin) I already had 2)

My hubby has a 4 day weekend which is awesome cause we soooo need to get some major cleaning and packing done!! My "to do" list looks like Santa's naughty list!! But...unfortunately he came home from work today with his back hurting....go figure!! This is the 3rd time this has happened and he's not yet 30!! So hopefully he will start feeling better soon.

My Omi girl is now 7 months!! I cannot believe it! Soon we will be celebrating her 1st birthday..I hope it goes by slowly...

She has such a personality! She is my little sunshine baby......She is always smiling and happy! She has a double ear infection right now, and she was so uncomfortable a couple days ago, but now she's back to herself again! She wants to play with her older sisters so much, she leans down like she will just run away if I let her down! She is such a joy and a blessing to me!

They had a Backyardigans birthday party! They wore pink tutu's(they are wearing one for this birthday too, I made them each a pretty one yesterday)

Bug had some attitude that day!! She didn't even open any gifts! She opened a toy and played with it the whole time!

Lo is AMAZING!!! She amazes me everyday with her strength!

I paid like 40.00 for this cake, and honestly is wasn't that good...I starting making my own the next year, they are just better and a whole lot cheaper!!

I wish they would stay little forever! I am very sad to see them growing up! They are my 1st, and will always be my babies...I wish I could slow time down...just a little...

It was Sunday.

I had been on bed rest for 7 weeks.

I wanted to go to church.

I went cause the twins were to be delivered on the 2ND of February.

This was the 30Th of January.

I went to MIL's after.

I ate lots of pizza.

My water broke on her bathroom floor.

Hubby freaked.

I wanted clean, dry pants.

Drove to hospital(about an hour away).

Had some babies.

I was sick.

Pizza before surgery is never a good idea.

This was the result.

Bug is on the left she was 5lbs 3 oz. and Little Lo on the right at 5lbs 80z's...

They will be 4 on the 30Th!!

Two for Tuesday!

So today is tuesday so I thought I would do a quick post and a recipe (two things :P)

Little Lo didn't end up having her surgery yesterday, although we thank everyone for all their prayers! She was sick as was my hubby, who was to stay overnight with her in the hospital....we rescheduled it for Feb.20th!

Also, Omers had her well baby today and she is a healthy 17.3 lbs, 27 inches long!! Besides the sniffles and a cough she is doing well! I totally thought she would weigh more since at 7 months she still eats every 2 hours!!! It's no wonder I'm exhausted, I'm living the life of a dairy cow!!

Ok so now on to the recipe! I used to be afraid of new foods....I made this after I had my twins, and it has become one of our favorite family foods! It is a way to get your kids to eat their greens!!

Try it, but note that the color it comes out is a slime green color!!

Broccoli Pesto Linguine
1 cup boiling water

2 bouillon cubes or 2 teaspoons chicken flavored soup base or granules.

1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli, prepared according to package directions, drained

1/3 cup freshly grated Romano or Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

1 (9-ounce) package BUITONI® Linguine

4 fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Combine water and bouillon in small bowl; stir to dissolve. Place bouillon mixture, broccoli, cheese, basil, oil and garlic in food processor or blender; cover. Process until smooth to form pesto.
*Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. Toss pesto with pasta. Season with ground black pepper. Garnish with basil leaves.
Makes 4 servings.

*-I think one of the main things is to really salt your pasta water! It really makes for better flavored pasta-I just use the boxed kind....and I also add extra garlic! Yummy!!!!

Little Lo's surgery/ Run in with the "fake law"

First things first...Little Lo is supposed to have surgery in the morning(well I guess here it is morning 12:22) I'm not sure if it's going to happen or not being that she has a horrible cough, and my hubby has the stomach flu...we've been passing that one around, luckily it's only a 6 hour bug, so hopefully he will be better by morning! If she has the surgery, which by the way, she is getting her tonsils/adenoids out, it will be at 10:10 in the morning...so I had better get this post done and into bed...Say a prayer for her! This will be her 6th surgery and she's not even 4 yet!!

Run in with the "fake"law....(part 1)

Ok, so I twittered a little about this on Friday, so here is the whole story....This is one of those stories that you get in an email about women being safe, except for me it isn't a STORY, it's real, and it has scared the daylights out of me...so if you need to pass this blog on I think that might be a good idea!

Ok, so on December 22nd, the Monday before Christmas, we were out doing some last minute Christmasy things...we were out too late...the kids slept in the car most of the evening, but let me tell ya I'm ashamed to say that we didn't get them home till around 12:30...a.m....I know I know..... but anyway, the last stop was to Walmart...I was looking for a last minute gift for my Hun, I knew what I wanted to get in the store, so he kicked back the passenger seat and dozed off like the kids were..I came out of the store and got in to drive home. I pulled out of Walmart and turned right, as soon as I turned a car flashed their brights at me to turn my lights on..I forgot to turn them on cause the car was running while I was in the store and the parking lights were on and I just didn't think about it...so I got to the light a minute later and I turned right on red(it was a legal turn) pretty much as soon as I turned, there were flashing lights behind me...I pulled over and was a little upset cause I didn't do anything wrong, and my hubby agreed(he is in law enforcement) So Cory put his seat upright and the cop came around to his side instead of mine. He wasn't wearing a uniform, just a coat with a dress shirt and a tie, and a toboggan...he said something about how I didn't turn my headlights on, and I told him about Walmart and how I forgot...and to that he asked for my license and registration, I thought you have to be kidding me....he then again said something about how I didn't turn my lights on till I saw him turn around behind me.....1st of all I didn't realize it was him who flashed his brights at me, second of all I explained AGAIN, how I did it right when he flashed me..then Naomi started crying and he said well okay get that baby home and out of the cold...So we left....and we thought it was weird...

The next day the hubs told the guys in the office about it, and the one guy knows alot of cops in the town this happened in and didn't think they had an undercover unit(did I mention that the car was unmarked) so Cory called the sheriff and filed a report.........Stay tuned to find out what happened next....

Soooo for the rest of the story...at the beginning of the week, the sheriff called my hubs and said he would like for us to come in and look at some pics of some people for the case..so we went on Friday. I was really nervous. They separated us, so we wouldn't influence each others thoughts. He went first. When the detective came in to see me he gave me 6 photo's which I looked at a lot. I picked 1 out in particular and told him that I wasn't saying that it was def. the guy but it looked like I remembered he looked. He then told me that I picked out their suspect, and my hubby picked out the same guy. Which made me feel alot better! Then he showed me something else. He showed me 2 photo's from Walamrt security of the guy walking in the store and him purchasing something. And the kicker is this...he was in their at the time I was in their! Which is totally scary...we aren't sure if he saw me and picked me out, or if it's a totally cowinky dink.....Anywho, they have enough to charge him thanks to us, and I hope he gets some jail time(doubtful though) I'm just glad that we are moving away from here in about a month so I can feel a little safer!! So that's my crazy story....you never know when something can happen even when you think "it can't happen to you" so carry some Mace and a knife!! And please pass this on to other women, maybe we can all learn something from it!

This morning as I was sitting in church the minister started talking about a particular bible verse that is important to me 1 Peter 1:6-7 which says 6"In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." Whenever I am having a rough go of it, and I am like "why God" I always come back to this verse and it gives me a sense of peace......well a little bit into the sermon the minister talked of another verse 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 which says "3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." Ok, I totally love this verse! I am always saying that I am an open book, alot of people I know are private people...I am just not that way. I have been though some things in my life(some of which I won't mention, cause you don't have 5 days to read this blog..) but things like infertility problems, miscarriage, twins, and having a child with a disability...they have been rough but I'm still standing. I believe that this is all due to my incredible faith and love for God. And I am always thinking that maybe something I have gone though, someone else may be going through, and I can help them! So this morning was a wonderful morning to be sitting in that service!

Is there anyone that you know of going through something you yourself have gone though? Maybe you can comfort them through the comfort we get through HIM

This was taken on New Years Eve in 2004! I was about to pop out my twins! Amazingly I only gained 33lbs(11 of which was babies) I don't remember what I was pointing out, probably just another stretch mark! I think my belly got alot bigger in just another month cause had them on January 30th, an I was way bigger!! Looking back on this pic makes me remember how painful a strecthed out belly feels!! But always worth it!!

WOW, is all I can say! I cannot believe that it is now 2009!! This year flew by. I was pregnant for the first half of the year, and now my baby is almost 7 months! We have so much going on right now with us moving soon, and also my babies turn 4 at the end of the month!! Now THAT is crazyness!! I hope I have time for blogging...lol....just joking, OF COURSE I will!!!

On a side note my friend Lacie at Peanut Butter and Pickles does some really great reviews, and she has a lot of giveaways too! The current review features my little one Naomi so go and check out some cute pics of her! Oh, and check out her reviews too :)

Christmas Recap-finally!

It has been awhile since I posted last! I have finally uploaded all my Christmas pics! We have been totally busy since Christmas Eve!

So here goes....bear with me here, I'm typing this just like I'm talking which is pretty fast-just ask anyone!

It all started on Christmas Eve...we spent it with Cory's family! It was mass Chaos! It all starts out with god intentions...you know what I'm talking about, everyone opens a gift 1 at a time so everyone else can ohh and ahh! Then it's a free for all! I barely got to see what my own children received. I had no clue what I got that night!

Then Christmas morning we did our thing at our house! It was so fun seeing the girls get excited over little things, like Belle, and Cinderella socks that I got at the dollar section at Target! It doesn't take a lot of money to make my kids happy! Anywho, it was wonderful! Nothing can take away from that morning! It was magical! My hubby also got my some goodies, he is the best at buying me gifts! He can pick out clothes, and shoes, and anything else for me! He ROCKS!! He got me a jewelry armoire, that I will adore when I actually get it...they have been sold out! I got a picture, and gift card and a rain check for it! He also got me some other great things.. I bought him some dumbells, a WiFi internet radio thing, and some other cool gifts! I think the girls' faves were their ponies. Kayli really wanted a remote control Scoot a Loo,

and Logan wanted Newborn Rainbow Dash,

Naomi loves her Elmo!!

We then drove to my familes! We had family stuff Christmas night, and the day after! Then on Sunday we packed up and drove home, well first we went the girls' best friend Grace's 4th birthday party! We were exhausted needless to say...There could be more pics and posts soon about Christmas...who knows!! But I'm still getting back into the swing of things!

CHRISTmas Eve/Emotional wreck!

Ok, first off Merry CHRISTmas Eve!! I cannot wait for tomorrow! I won't sleep tonight for all the excitement! I never have been able to. I am always the first to call my mom and my dad on Christmas because I am up! So I hope everyone's is great! I am sad that I won't be going to our Candlelight Service tonight :( We are having Christmas with my inlaws because we will be traveling tomorrow to my family's...we switch every other year!

I am an emotional wreck right now!! I realize that I had a baby 6 months ago, and I am still nursing, but geez....I was watching an old episode of 7th Heaven while I was folding laundry last night, and it was about how Sandy played Mary in the nativity scene while she was preggers...throughout all of this she realized what Christmas was all about.......Oh my goodness...I was tearing up through the whole thing!! I am such a dork! Although I do love God, and know that he is an AWESOME father! So maybe that's why?? Or maybe it's just the season?? Or maybe it's just me, yeah pretty sure it's the last!! :) Have a great day!!

Oh The Weekend!

Oh, our weekend was crazy! We drove down to my moms house on Friday night(2.5 hours) Just to look at some possible homes for us for when we move in March. We had set up 3 to look at on Sat. morning.... I didn't sleep well...So Saturday we looked at the houses, and the first one I love! It is so nice. It's only 2 years old, 3 beds, 2 baths, with 2.2 acres. It also has a full basement, that is easily finishable, 2 car nice garage, and is only 3 miles from the Park where Cory will be working out of!! The schools are also good and that's important because with a special needs child, we need to make sure she gets good services! The prices was also awesome! It is only 83,000.00!!!!!! Can you believe that? A nice new home with acreage? 2 years ago that would never have been possible.....well I found out why it was so cheap.....It is bank owned and has MOLD!!! Not alot, but I'm having my dad check it out to see how deep the mold is...If it's just surface then we can easily take care of it! I am blessed with a hubby and a dad who can do many a andy of things... Like finish a basement! It's alot of work, but so much cheaper when done yourself!! So this is my current prayer. I know that if it's God's will for us to be there then it will happen! I'm big on putting all my faith in him! I'm not worried about it at all, which is surprising! But when you have great faith in your father, then you should have no worries!! Yes, I may want it, but it's not my will but his!!

Anywho....Saturday after looking at houses we drove to my sisters house(another 2.5 hours) because Sunday was my nephews Christmas program at church(they are preacher kids) and Saturday night Lo had her Sleep Study at Children's and my sis lives like 30 min. from the hospital. All was well until about 2:30 in the morning when Bug woke up pukin!! I stayed up with her and she threw up every 20 min. all night long. SHe finally fell asleep around 5:30 right after the Diarehha sarted! Naomi also woke up around 4 and couldn't get back to sleep! Needless to say I was a tired one!! I just stayed up and watched a movie! SO Cory got back with Lo around 7:30 a.m. and we just packed up and went home!

Yeaterday was spent laying around, and trying to clean up the house!! I took about an hour nap, and last night I went to bed early and slept!! I feel better today and so does Bug! I have a lot to do before Christmas Eve cause we go to my moms house on Christmas, so I have a lot of cleaning and packing to do...along with some Lysol spraying!! Yuck!

Weekend in Review

We had another wonderful weekend together! But they are always too short! Friday was spent with me still being sick, but on the mend. We were supposed to go to my moms for the weekend, but since I had been sick I decided that I didn't want to chance spreading the sick love to any family members! SO we stayed home! I got Naomi's 6 month pics taken, and my girls stayed the night at my sister's house! Cory and I thought we would get a great night of uninterrupted sleep, but HA, Naomi didn't sleep all that well...go figure! So Saturday we did a little Christmas shopping and then, drove down to pick up the kids. Later that evening we went with my sister, my 2 nephews, and my bro-in law to a lodge to visit Santa! It was all lit up so beautifully, and it was really neat. Kayli cried when it was time to see Santa cause "she's scared" This is my sis holding a screaming bug while I snapped a quick pic On Sunday we spent a wonderful day at home in our jammies! We cleaned up, made cookies, and Cory's granny came over for a visit! It was a great weekend! I am feeling much better, I am over the FLU, my eye is almost better....I have a little bit of blurry vision, and it's more annoying than anything We have a busy week this week! Lo has to go have one of her braces fixed, and she gets casted for a new one for her other leg. She also has a sleep study on Saturday night at Children's! Daddy will be staying with her! Have a great week!! Oh, and someone loves PRUNES!!!!

Still sick Tuesday!

Ok, I am STILL sick!! I had to call my sister yesterday who lives and hour away to come help me with me kids! I could not have done it with our her! I have to get my twins on the bus to preschool and off the bus and take care of my baby! I pretty much layed in bed all day yesterday! Today I am going to the doctor! Besides my yucky pink eye, that is slowly getting better...I have a very swollen and hurtful throat, and I can't hear out of one of my ears, and a horrible cough! I normally don't get sick, but when I do, I get SICK!! I will get everything known to man!! So anyway....1...2.....3.....awwww(that was my pity party!!!)

Today is kind of a special day for us...today marks the day that Cory and I have "been together" (essecentally our dating anniversary) for 10 years!!! That's crazy! We started dating our freshman year at Ohio State, and we haven't looked back! Cory saved me in so many ways....I was in a downward spiral....a long story for another time...but I love him so dearly!!

Also today Naomi is 6 months old!! IT has gone by so fast! She is such an enjoyable baby! The meaning of her name fits her: sweet, pleasant! She has 2 teeth that oth came in last week, just 2 days apart( i am a nursing mom so pray for me :P ) I love her sooo much!

Just thought I would title this post Foul Friday!! Because......that's how I feel...Foul!!! I HAVE PINK EYE!!!!!! It is making me miserable! Above all that tonight when we came home from the grocery(which I swear everytime we won't take all the kids cause they can never behave, and I get stressed out and become something from a horror movie...) well we took them...and I'll let you guess the rest.......

but anywho...I came home and came down with a fever, I was freezing cold(when it was 75 in here) and just had the aches....I took some meds and am feeling a little better....

Sorry...just had to feel sorry for my sorry feeling self!!!

Thanksging....weekend review...

I never did post about thansgiving, or pretty much anything from last week...so ....

Our week, last week, started off like this....

Poor bug, she was sick all week....she had a high fever, and it ended up being an ear infection! So Thanksgiving wasn't much fun for her!!

We ate tooo much food on turkey day..including Naomi who had sweet potatoes for the 1st time

My hubby got up early on Black Friday and went shopping while I stayed with the kids...then later we took Bug to Urgent Care to find out about the ear infection!!

Saturday we layed around all day!! It was awesome...and Sunday we went to our friends house for a visit!

Not much else has happened since then...Logan now has a fever, I think it could be a UTI cause she gets them frequently(we cath her every 4 hours) so I took her to the doctor today so they could collect a urine sample.....now I'm just sitting here waiting for the phone to ring....and looking at my cuties
