Scripture Sunday

As a Christian, as a person, I am not perfect. I struggle with many things on a daily basis. All I can do is work on those things, and pray about them to try and do better. One thing I struggle with a lot is bitterness. It really is not a good thing. One that does not look well on me! I know I have this problem which I guess is half the battle! Here is a great verse to remember:

Ephesians 4:31-33 (New International Version)
31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God

forgave you.

Busy Weekend!!!

This weekend was fun! On Friday night my girls had their friend Grace over for a sleepover! We rented The Tinkerbell Movie and Ariel's New beginning for them. The tinkerbell movie was really cute and they really liked it....which is good cause they are getting it for Christmas!! We ordered pizza, made cookies, painted, and just let them have fun together!! My girls really had a good time! They love Grace and have known each other since technically before birth!! If we move south, they are really going to miss her....

Saturday was a BIG day! It was the Buckeyes big rivalry against that team up north-Michigan..Cory has taught Lo to say that Michigan is Evil...too cute!! And we won big 42-7!! A nice way to end the season(and we are sharing the Big Ten title with Penn State) SO we went to the bro in laws house for a get together! My mom even made the 2.5 hour drive up to visit which was really nice! After the game we got some shopping in, and then mom took the girls back to our house so Cory and I could actually get some time together...HA...well kind of, we had Naomi too!! Remember....where the boobs go, so does she..lol....As I have said before...Cory and I never get any time together, so even a little minus 2 of our children is a nice break!!

Today..(I'm typing this on Sunday evening) was a lazy day..Cory had to work...of course...but mom was here....we just sat around and enjoyed "mamaw" being here! We played Princess Memory, and had a great lunch...I cooked a yummy(if I don't say so myself) pork roast, and mom made me homemade sweet potaotes....hers are my fave, and I soooo loved them!!

After Cory came home we played Monopoly with the girls(yeah I know they are only 3, but they wanted too!) they had a ball!! They love games!!! All my babies are snug in their beds, and I hope to be going that way soon!! I finally got Zumba, so I will be waking up early to start my workout!!! Have a good week!!!!

Two for Tuesday!!

I always seem to talk alot about my baby...well it's probably cause she's my baby and she is still so new...

Well this post is dedicated to my favorite princesses. Kayli and Logan. The girls were born in January of 2005! They were a scheduled c-section, but my water broke 2 days before that! I was on bed rest for 7 weeks while pregnant with them(during Christmas no less :( )

They are my shining joy! I love those girls with everything that I am! Being a mommy to twin girls is a gift! Now granted I haven't always had those thoughts...they are almost 4...

Kayli is older by like 30 seconds...and you can tell. She is a mother hen! She takes care of Logan in every way possible. She even wipes her nose for her. Kayli always wants to hold Naomi, and change her diaper, and anything else she can do! She is my helper. If I need something she will get it for me. She aims to please....lol....Kayli is also a very, very strong willed child! Lately we have been doing nothing but butting heads with her. She wants what she wants when she wants it, and if she doesn't get it...look out!! I am at my wits end with her most days....and then there are those moments when she says something, or wants a kiss, or just says I'm the best mommy...that my heart swells!! I love my bug soooooo much!!!

Logan is a sweetie! If there is a hug to be had, or a kiss to give she will be the one doing it! If I am sad, she is sad with me! She has been though so much in her life. She has Spina Bifida, amongst a couple other things....she is a tough cookie! Logan is so full of compassion.. She surprises me so much everyday with her empathy! The other day I was trying to get her brace on her and it got stuck in her pants leg....well we were running late anyway for physical therapy, and I just couldn't get the brace unstuck from her pants....I was pulling, and pulling and getting so frustrated that I just started crying. I couldn't help it! Crying is how I show my emotions..well Logan cried too! She was hugging on me and saying "it's alright mommy" I felt awful for making her worry like that! I am so in love with my Logie Loo!

Having twins is crazy and beautiful! They are soo different! I might as well have kids that are different ages. There is 6-7 inches in height, and about 10 lbs weight difference in them! But they bring me such joy!

I just thought I would share some tidbits about them!! They are my life!!

Chicken Chilaquiles

This recipe we tried the other night and yummy!!!!

1 package flour tortillas, cut into 1-inch strips

1/2 cup veg. oil

2 cups diced/shredded cooked chicken

1 1/2 cups salsa

2 cups shredded moz, or monterey jack cheese

sour cream-if desired

Preheat Oven to 350. Heat oil in large skillet until hot. Cook tortilla strips in hot oil for 30-60 seconds, or until light golden brown: drain on paper towels. In a lightly greased 2 quart baking dish place 1/2 strips...top with cooked chicken, 3/4 cup salsa & 1 cup cheese. Repeat with remaining strips, salsa & cheese. Bake 30-35 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly around the edges. Serve with sour cream if desired. Makes approx. 6 servings

Scripture Sunday

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written,

“He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;his righteousness endures forever.”
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.
2 Corinthians 9:6-12

Flashback Friday!!

Ok, normally do a "throwback Thursday" but I just didn't have time to get it done! SO I will do a flashback Friday instead!!
This pic of Lo is too cute cause it's like she was just chillin on the floor reading her favorite book!!

And I so remember Bug doing this! She pulled that box over by that toy to sit on it while she was playing!! It's funny how when we see old pics we can remember exactly what happened like it happened an hour ago!! I love memories!!!!

It's that time of the year again!!! And I couldn't be more excited! So is Tip Junkie!! Head on over to her site for some awesome 12 days of Christmas giveways! It's also to celebrate all those mom-preneurs out there(which I hope to become 1 one day soon!) So click her button or head HERE

Manic Monday!

I have been sooo super busy these days.....

We could be making a 2.5 hour move south to Cincy soon so we are trying to think ahead and go through some things, and start packing now....

PLUS I want Naomi to be in her crib soon(she's currently in a pack and play in my room) so we have to convert the guest room to a nursery, giving my girls a big girl bed in the process! They are now sharing a full size bed, and doing okay...but...it's only the 3rd night.....onto bigger news...

NAOMI IS 5 MONTHS OLD!!!!!

I just can't believe it! I think I am going through postpartum depression a little late. I am so sad that it is going by so quickly that it is honestly making me a little depressed! It just makes me want to have another baby :) :) But the hubby and I never get any alone time so......that won't be happening any time soon......

This is Lo's first time in the leaves!! She is sooo smootchable isn't she??

And this picture of Bug touching the pumpkin ever so gently is too precious, this is one of my faves

Two little shoppers!! They are almost 10 months in these pics and wearing those 0-3 month coats!! That is what really cracks me up...I wish they were still little(tear)

Who is your "Everyday Superhero"

So I haven't blogged since Monday and maybe that's why I've been down lately....or it could be that my baby will be 5 months on Saturday, and she is teething. To me that means that she is not so much of an "infant" anymore...and that really makes me sad.....

Ok, on to my long weekend....I never really did a weekend review. I had such a neat weekend, that I can't imagine NOT sharing it with you...(whoever YOU are)......

So I went to this conference this past Saturday called Speaking of Womens Health...you can find more info
here. It is this 1 day conference for women only(no kids) about our health as women, body, soul and mind....

The theme of the conference was "Everyday Heroes", which they were talking about the people we go to(women) for support, laughter, or just to vent. I went to it with 3 of my everyday heroes...my mom, and my 2 sisters. We had a ball! We stayed Friday night at a hotel in dayton cause it started early on Saturday.....oh what fun and no sleep we had! If you knew my sisters you would know that there was craziness! I even had nude pics taken of me while I was in the shower...thanks again Em....don't worry they were erased!! In the pic below: my sista's Emily on left and Liz on the right.. I'm the middle child :(

So at the conference there were a couple key note speakers who were great, and there were breakout sessions, a lunch, free health screenings, and lots of free goodies!! I had a face screening done where I stuck my face in the booth under these lights....I could see where I had oil on my face, and any sun spots....and so on.....I had a heart disease screening thing, eye exam, blood pressue(which was high :( )...very informative!

I also took a Zumba class! It is latin dancing and it was AWESOME! I am going to be purchasing the dvd tonight!!

The freebies are worth going for! I got so much stuff! And I'm not talking samples, I'm talking about full size face stuff from Loreal, Garnier, pads, tp, etc.....even a 10.00 gift card to walmart!!!

So you have to check it out and bring the important women in your life!!! And remember...Get Healthy..it's good for ya!!!

Bestest most sweetest baby ever!!!

I just have to say that my baby girl Naomi is the best baby!! She is nothing but sunshine and smiles all the time!!! I know what you're thinking....yeah right! But I'm not joking!! For instance....during trick or treat she was stuffed into a big caterpillar costume for over an hour, and I did not hear one whine, she only smiled! This weekend I went to a conference that I will blog about later tonight when I have more time, and I had to take her with me cause she is nursing....anywho....she was sooooo great! She was pretty much held the entire day on Saturday, and she was smiling and talking to everyone around her! I got so many compliments on how people could not believe how good she was!

She is sooo great and I thank God for her everyday! I think God was sayin "okay, I gave you twins the first time with some extra complications, so this time I will go a little easier on ya!" Well I couldn't have asked for anything more!! She is sooo wonderful and I love her with everything that I have!!! SO I just thought I'd share!!
